Decorated Matchbox

Decorating a matchbox can be an easy and rather quick project. It makes a perfect gift as it can be personalized, perhaps to give with a matching candle holder or a scented candle :) 

I first painted the box with silver paint and then backed the black and white patterned paper and added it using foam pads. 

I added flat back pearls to the corners. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The butterfly is a metal butterfly from a local flower shop but it would as well have worked with a punched or die-cutted butterfly.

I made the stickpin with matching pinks to add a little detail. The box stands on four rather large pearls, making it look a little like a table or drawers :)
