For Christmas 2012 I decided to make Christmas mini albums with Christmas poems instead of cards to send to my closest family. In total I made six albums, all with slightly different designs. I thought to share a few pages with you.
For all albums I used the First Edition's Christmas Village paper collection. All paper are distressed with Tim Holts Distress ink; Vintage Photo. On the cover I die-cut a scalloped circle to back the wooden angle to make it stand out. I found the angles at Hooby Craft. The swirls are from a Marianne Design die-cut. The roses are from Wild Orchic Crafts and I used Stickles glitter glue on them to make them sparkle. I used book rings to bind the album and added a little bell so that the albums also sounded like Christmas :)
The pages are made from brown coin envelopes. I inked all of them with Vintage Photo to give them a vintage look. The tags were punched with a Fiskars corner punch and inked with Vintage photo to give them a nice look.
Through the years I've collected lots of Christmas tags and pictures that I've got free with crafting magazines but never found a use for. Until now! :) So I hade lots of lovely tags and pictures, like this little Robin, to decorate the albums with.
I made the flowers from red cardstock using two different sized flower punches. (There is a tutorial of how I made them under the heading Tutorials to the left). The leaves are punched with a Woodware punch.
I added ribbon to several of the tags. I think it adds a nice look to projects when using different materials :) I layered a glass pebble to Santa's head that I cut out from the paper collection. I added stickels to the Christmas baubles to make them stand out (although it doesn't show on the photo).
Thank you for stopping by and having a look at my crafts :)
