Envelope Mini Album - For My Beloved Sister

I decided to make an envelope mini album to my wonderful sister for her birthday. The album holds photos of her and me from many different times and occasions. I wanted to make the album in blacks, whites, pinks and purples and decided to go through my stash to find anything that would match; papers, embellishments, bling, ribbons and bits and pieces. I tried to make it personal, for instance adding a hand bag to the charm on the side of the cover, or to add a sparkling black shoe on one of the pages. I made the fabric poppy flowers and the front cover flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Note that the paper of the front and the back of the mini is reversed so the front is black with silver and the back is silver with black. I just liked that effect.

I used a ribbong with a button as closure.

I also made a flower for a paper clip.

I made the flower in the corner by punching out a bunch of flowers, cupping them and layering them together to give it dimension. 

I added a cat since my sister and her family has two adorable very much loved cats :)

We kind of like to be silly with photos...

The characters are from a children's tv programme we used to watch when we were kids and we've given each other the nick names of the characters so I took the one and only picture I could find of the them on the internet and added it to the album.
